Sampson Gordon “Sam” Berns was an American teen who suffered from progeria and helped raise awareness about the disease. His award winning documentary film will allow the world to know this extraordinary person and the legacy of love, hope and inspiration he gifted to the world. This documentary film shows Sam at ages 13-15 years. On January 10, 2014, Sam passed away when he was 17 years old.
Sam enjoyed many things, including music, comic books, and watching his beloved Boston sports teams play. He attained the highest academic honors, was a percussion section leader in his high school band, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
